Elena Reygadas is a celebrated Mexican chef and restaurateur renowned for her innovative approach to Mexican cuisine, emphasizing sustainability, biodiversity, and gender equity. Initially studying English literature at the National Autonomous University of Mexico, she transitioned to the culinary arts, training at the French Culinary Institute in New York and gaining experience at London’s Michelin-starred Locanda Locatelli. In 2010, she returned to Mexico City to open Rosetta, her flagship restaurant in the Roma neighborhood. Rosetta has since garnered international acclaim, earning a Michelin star and being recognized for its commitment to sustainable practices. In 2023, Reygadas was named the World’s Best Female Chef by The World’s 50 Best Restaurants.
